This club track is the work of Armaf, a Paris-based house music label based in Paris (France). In 2015, this track was released and it immediately got the attention of many because of its resemblance to Creed Aventus.
I personally consider this fragrance to be one of the best clones of Aventus. However, if we remove the idea of Aventus from the equation, we can consider it to be a distinct fragrance. Although there is a strong resemblance, there are some noticeable differences between it and Club de Nuit Intense Man.
I found this to be a perfume that offers strong performance – it has an expressive character to it, and it’s not afraid to project feet all around you. It is simply one of those perfumes that you either adore or hate totally.
In fact, it even became one of our top 20 best spring fragrances for men in the year 2021!
For you to get a better picture of what Club de Nuit Intense Man by Armaf is all about, I made this review based on my personal experience of using it for months, but I also took into account the viewpoints of others who used it too.
Is it possible to describe the smell of Club De Nuit Intense Man in a few words?
Basically, Club de Nuit Intense Man smells like one of the synthetic, citrusy, fresh scents, which begins with citrus on top and builds up to a white musk base at the base.
Taking a closer look at the top notes of CDNIM, we can see that it has an extremely strong opening. Notes of CDNIM are:

After the first spray, your Frangrance Republic will be bombed with a citrusy pineapple-like scent, mixed with lemon mostly, and a touch of bergamot, which I was able to detect, but a lot of people did not. In this opening, there is a punch that lasts for about 20-30 minutes, and it is extremely projecting and punchy.

The pineapple and lemon scent never completely leaves the scent, but after a while, when it has stopped exploding, you start to get a sense of the birch in the center, followed by some musk and a touch of ambergris from the bottom.
I should say upfront that I do not detect any patchouli in it as patchouli is a sweet-earthy scent – something Club de Nuit Intense Man would not tolerate at all.
In conclusion, after the opening process has been completed, the scent of pineapple and musk is sure to stay with you for a long time to come.
The general consensus is that Club de Nuit Intense Man is a Creed Aventus clone, but even though it’s very similar to Creed Aventus, there are still three main differences between the two. These differences are as follows:
- Opening – The opening for Aventus smells like pineapple, while the opening for CDNIM smells like a bathroom cleaner, and some people even claim that it smells like a bathroom cleaner. I do not agree with this statement. However, it is very true that it is synthetic. It is because of this that most people apply it about 15-20 minutes in advance of going anywhere, just enough time for the synthetic to evaporate.
- There’s a lot of smoke in the drydown of Aventus, and that is really unique and exceptional, in contrast to the drydown of CDNIM, which goes down to birch and musk. I wouldn’t say they are quite opposite, but their smells are very different.
- There has been an evolution in the perfume – over time the fruity pineapple notes of Aventus slowly disappear, and all you can smell is smokiness and musk, while CDNIM, on the other hand, never loses its citrusy pineapple-like scent, but rather follows it through the day until it dries down.

It does not matter what anyone says about Club De Nuit Intense Man, it smells absolutely fantastic and it delivers a performance such as this that makes it worth every penny!
Can you tell me how long Club De Nuit Intense Man will last?
Intense Man sessions at Club De Nuit are typically scheduled between 8 and 12 hours in length.
There is a slight decrease the intensity of the scent as time passes, but the longevity of the scent on my skin was 12+ hours. On average I see people getting somewhere between 8-10 hours from this product.
In terms of projection, CDNIM is a beast of a device. I got an unbelievable 6-7 hours of steady projection on my skin, but I see others are usually getting anywhere between 3-4 hours of projection without any problems. The projection distance is also huge – 4 to 5 feet with no problem at all.
In terms of the sillage that Club de Nuit Intense Man leaves behind you, it is certainly one of the best ones out there, and it leaves a good trail of 6 to 7 feet behind you even after 6 to 7 hours.
In fact, I sprayed it once when I first came to work around 7 a.m. I spent the entire day at work, was finished with my work by 5 p.m. I ran a few errands, and picked up my friend by 6 p.m. After she stepped into the car, she immediately said, “Wow, what’s that smell so great? Is it you? What fragrance is that?” I completely didn’t expect that after almost 11 hours of wearing it!
There is no doubt that Armaf made CDNIM compete with the big boys in the industry, and longevity, projection, and sillage have shown that it is capable of doing so.
Is there a time when you should wear Club De Nuit Intense Man?
As the days begin to get warmer, the perfect time for Armaf Club de Nuit Intense Man would surely be during the spring and summer seasons. The citrusy and musky scent will definitely work well during these months, and it will certainly work well in all situations.
The creators of Club de Nuit Intense were striving for a scent of strong character, a fragrance you can wear anywhere and at any time. Wear it on business occasions, at important events, or on a daily walk or lunchtime. This is a scent that you can never go wrong with.
Even though Armaf’s Club de Nuit Intense is a stunning way to wear your daytime best, you can wear it on a warm summer night too – it is a fresh and strong scent and you won’t turn out sweet from the strong heating.
If you choose to use it, you must always test it and see what works for you best. I think it’s far better for the daytime and you can pick something a bit more spicy for the night. It all depends on your taste. Test it and see for yourself, you won’t go wrong!
I wouldn’t recommend that you wear it over winter even though I’ve seen some people wearing it on cold days. Since citrus and freshness simply do not seem appealing during these days as it tends to get too sharp, and because the fragrance is simply not designed for that – it will not open properly and you will not get the most out of it – it simply does not appeal.
Can you tell me how many sprays of Club De Nuit Intense I need to use?
There is no doubt that Armaf Club De Nuit Intense man will perform just fine with 3 sprays of the product – two on the sides of the neck right under the ear and one behind the head.
I would suggest putting two more sprays in the dips right next to your clavicle bone in order to cover a larger area and smell a bit deeper. In this way, a little bit of air with the scent of Armaf will get out every time you turn your head around, which basically means you will have a small pump whenever you turn your head around!
In anyway, it is important not to apply two or more sprays of CDNIM on the same spot, because CDNIM is a very powerful scent and if you apply two or more sprays on the same spot, it will just delay his opening time, so you will not notice any significant performance improvements.
This is one that really doesn’t require any performance improvements and, trust me, you don’t need any at all!
In spite of the fact that you only need to spray two times, you won’t go unnoticed, and people will definitely remember you!

The Armaf Club De Nuit Intense Man comes in a beautiful black/gray box and has the texture of being one of those “satisfying to touch” boxes, as it is not smooth at all but is rather gently rough on the surface.
There is a logo on the top of the box, a perfume name is on the front side, as well as a cute, but fake diamond decoration on the box. The fact that the fragrance has been tested and is safe to use is always a sign that it is safe to use, since there is information about the product and the manufacturer at the bottom of the box.
